Organised by The Boathouse Youth, a leading youth charity based on the Fylde Coast, the event provides an alternative approach to traditional business networking. Rather than meeting in a formal boardroom environment, participants come together for a countryside walk, creating opportunities to build stronger and more meaningful relationships while enjoying the outdoors.
Filmed in Chorley, the video captures the atmosphere and experience of the netwalking event, showcasing local businesses, charities and community leaders coming together, networking and sharing ideas in a relaxed environment.
The production highlights the concept behind Common Ground and how The Boathouse Youth is creating new opportunities for businesses and community organisations to connect, collaborate and build relationships away from the traditional networking environment.
The finished video provides The Boathouse Youth with engaging promotional content that can be used across its website, social media and digital marketing channels to promote future netwalking events and encourage more businesses and community organisations to get involved.

We really got our heads together to try and think about how we could do networking but in a really really creative way.
And we came up with netwalking and we thought well how could we make that even better than just going for a walk and we were like let’s do it on our camp.
This is a brilliant infrastructure that we’ve got here.
invited all of our networks to come and join us together today on this brilliant sunny day and go walking and not only just walk but actually connect with people, talk to people, be out in the outdoors in the fresh air, move and talk to people about the work that we do, how we can link partnerships together, how we can work better collaboratively, how we can support one another.
And you know what? It’s been absolutely brilliant.
It’s a great event. It’s unique. It’s getting people outdoors and thinking and just connecting with other like-minded people.
The sector is going through complete change, so it’s really good to talk to allies, understand where people are at, and share best practice.
We’ve had the weather, we’ve had some exercise, we’ve had some amazing food. It’s been great.
Made some really good contacts.
We’ve got some opportunities now for some partnership working with some other charities that work with young people.
It’s been fantastic.
I’ve never actually been to a networking event. I think it’s the first one they’ve ever done.
It’s just been really interesting and useful.
You know, you’ve got to start somewhere.
And actually, if we can start with this event today and how amazing it’s been with 56 people, just imagine what that’s going to turn into.
