What They Needed

The PCC was looking for a creative partner who could bring bold thinking and sensitivity in equal measure. They wanted a campaign with a clear message that could cut through the noise, raise awareness, and signpost support services before abuse escalates further. The tone needed to be strong but compassionate — a message of hope and action, not fear. Just as importantly, the campaign needed to work across every channel, from community posters and local events to social media and digital advertising.

Our Approach

We began by gaining a deep understanding of the PCC’s objectives and the sensitive nature of the topic. It was crucial to strike the right tone — creating urgency without fear and empathy without minimising the issue. Through research and collaboration, we developed a visual identity and voice that carried strength, compassion, and clarity.

Every element of the campaign — from posters and banners to social media content, was designed to make an immediate impact. The visuals were bold but approachable, with messaging that encouraged people to reach out for help or offer support to someone in need. Consistency across all materials ensured the campaign felt cohesive and trustworthy.

The Result

The Breaking the Cycle of Domestic Abuse campaign reached communities across Cheshire through both digital and offline platforms. It offered vital information on where to get help and gave survivors the confidence to seek support. It also encouraged open conversations about domestic abuse, helping to reduce stigma and promote understanding.
