Welcome to St. Mary’s Chambers and welcome to this change readiness event.
If there’s one big message I want to give to you today, it’s the amount of opportunity that is going to come your way as a result of what you’re about to experience.
We’re really keen to get a good band of reps from different sectors within Rossendale to work with and about identifying those skills and about how to sell yourself out there.
It was great for my teams to attend and get some reassurance and comfort that actually LGR isn’t this really scary beast, that there’s a lot of things in place and that work that we’re working through together with other people to ensure that everyone’s protected going forward.
And I think the key message out of today was that there’s lots of opportunity.
I think there’s a lot which we could be proud of in Rossendale and the work that we do. I think what we’ve heard today, we should be confident about going into that next step.
I’ve just been talking to my members of staff and the general feeling is the same from all of us.
We were very cynical and sceptical coming in because we didn’t really know what it was going to be about.
We’ve actually found it very useful, and this has given us the opportunity to slow down, think about what’s actually happening and give us that time to reflect.
